There were numerous heroes throughout the tragic Tuesday of September 11, 2001.  And there will be many more in the days and years to come.  You can offer an online message to these heroes.

In Honor of Our Heroes

I added this personal thought to my version of "Amazing Grace". Let us all continue to pray for these heroes.
   "Our prayers ascend to heaven today, at the heels of ten thousand souls.
   God clasp these children to your breast and carry them safely home."

To The Fire/Rescue, and Police   This is in honor of the brothers and sisters dressed in blue

When the call was sounded that help was in need they came with the greatest of speed.
When they arrived they saw, danger and despair, But they still entered for that was why they were there.
The brothers and sisters all dressed in blue never questioned this danger but set out to do.
Then the worst nightmare came to be.  I am sure your heart sunk just like me.
The brave men and women dressed in blue, never questioned their fate, for fellow Americans care could not wait.
Again the bell told, and again the army of blue ran, to the aid of their fellow man, so brave and true for this could have been me or you.
They came to the call as the previous blue and they did what they do.
Still today the brothers and sister all dressed in blue stand tall, on this rubble with torn hearts this is true.
This act of cowards would not cause their spirits to crumble.
They know nothing different then to give they're all. This is why we honor the blue and the tall.
For when then the bell tolls, the blue they will come, and nothing can come in  the way of the brotherhood of blue, and this is true.
These people dressed in blue give it their all, for you and for me that is why they stand so tall, and In Gods light they will be.
God blesses those in blue that answers the call for in our eyes they will always stand brave and tall.
No animal can take this from them for the walk from coast to coast, hand in hand.
This will not stop us either for what we are is AMERICAN.

Hello, my name is Ian Stuart Rowley and I am writing to you from Montreal, Canada. In 1989 I was at the bottom of the proverbial barrel, my Kidneys had failed and the Dialysis was not working anymore. I needed a Kidney Transplant. At that time I felt that even my worst enemies did not deserve to suffer like this, it was wrong to wish such a terrible thing on someone else. It took all of my energy to even open my eyes each day. But, inside there was something growing, the hope that if I did die, I would leave this realm without a touch of hate in my body. I would try everyday to be good to people and to hug and kiss my wife and son. I soon realized that I was OK with dying, but I felt very guilty to the ones that I would leave behind, and if indeed I went to Heaven, I wouldn't want to look down on my loved ones and see them suffering for me. I hope that all the people who lost their valuable lives can look down on all the Suffering people that they have touched and feel that no matter what happened they left all those people with beautiful memories of lives well lived and Husbands, Wives, Children and Family members will not fill the void left by a Dearly Departed one with hate or spite, but with memories of Love and Fun Times and Happiness spent together. It will not make the pain go away, but it will keep their Spirits pointed in the positive direction of Contentment and Happiness, knowing that the person that they still Love, is in a better place and can feel Happy that His or Her families will never forget them and keep the Memories of them going, by telling any one who will listen, that you were a Good person with a great Heart. My Deepest Sympathies go out to all of you, and you will put the sorrow away one day, and keep with you the Happiness that came from your Loved ones Memories.
Just to let you know my brother gave me a Kidney and we are both doing fine...

Although I knew of no one in the World Trade Centers, Pentagon or any of the hijacked flights, I felt on Sept.11th and still feel the deepest hurt in my heart for the victims and their families and close friends.  We have gained many angels to look after and guide us in our future.  God be with you all. I'll never forget!

For the firefighters, police and medical workers that made the ultimate sacrifice - You saved many people surely doomed to death. Your heroism is the reason the number of missing persons is not higher. Hopefully any memorial erected in rememberence will include a special tribute to your bravery and selflessness.
